UAB Center for the Arts Presents 2026 VIVA Health Gala feat. Bernadette Peters
The 2026 VIVA Health Gala, honoring Dr. and Mrs. Ray L. Watts, will be a spectacular night supporting UAB Center for the Arts, which encompasses the Alys Stephens Center, the Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts (AEIVA), UAB Arts in Medicine and ArtPlay. All net proceeds directly support year-round programs for the Birmingham community and beyond.
Your evening begins with a pre‑reception featuring passed hors d’oeuvres, beverages, and a contemporary art gallery experience where you will help select the next work added to AEIVA’s permanent collection. You also will see Arts in Medicine in action and enjoy a special performance by our talented ArtPlay young artists as they open on the Jemison Concert Hall stage for Broadway legend Bernadette Peters.
After the performance, sponsors will be treated to an elegant dinner across the street in the AEIVA galleries, crafted by the award‑winning team at Helen.
