Virtual Class Musical Theatre Performance

Teaching Artist Reid Watson
This course is a study of musical theatre songs and techniques for their performance. Teaching Artist Reid Watson will prepare and equip the performer with confidence as it relates to musical theatre. While studying important aspects of musical theatre history, we will examine the cohort’s existing repertoire, and find new material appropriate for each student’s strengths. Musical Theatre Performance will concentrate on the learning process of acting and singing musical theatre songs. Students will improve their abilities to learn songs quickly, deal with nerves, cut a song into a needed audition length, and create a musical theatre binder. While students have taken this course to prepare for college auditions, show choir adjudications, community or professional productions, and masterclasses, please know that all levels of experience are welcome… If you love musical theatre, then this is the class for you!
