UAB Department of Music Presents Chamber Music @ AEIVA
Presented by UAB’s Department of Music and the Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts.
Join us for Chamber Music @ AEIVA, a free evening where chamber music meets contemporary art. Dr. Kristine Hurst-Wajszczuk curates this chamber music concert connected to the Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts’ exhibition Virginia L. Montgomery: Blue Moon Cocoon, in which surreal, synesthetic artworks unite elements of mysticism, physics, and neuroscience.
A reception begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the concert at 6:00 p.m. — arrive early to mingle, enjoy light catering, and explore the art that inspired the music before the performance.
