The Science of Color Vision
Presented by the Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts and UAB Arts in Medicine
Join Christianne E. Strang, PhD, ATR-BC, Associate Professor of Behavioral Neuroscience for an interactive lecture that explores the science of color vision and how it shapes cognition, memory, and emotion. With examples from the Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts (AEIVA) permanent collection, Dr. Strang will demonstrate how the same image can appear through the lens of different forms of color blindness.
This program is part of a partnership with EnChroma in recognition of Colorblind Awareness Month.
