UAB Arts in Medicine Presents From Where I Sit Documentary Premiere
Join us for the premiere of From Where I Sit, a moving documentary directed by Ingrid Pfau that offers an intimate look into the creation of the powerful storytelling and movement performance featured in the 2025 Disability Arts Festival. Created and directed by Suzanne Costello, artistic co-director of Stuart Pimsler Dance & Theatre, and featuring original music by Anita Hollander, the project brought together individuals living with paralysis to explore identity, memory, and expression through collaborative movement and personal narrative. This film captures the full arc of the project—from one of the very first workshops to the final, breathtaking performance.
Attendees can join the premiere in person or virtually, and are invited to stay afterward for a talkback and Q&A with the artists and participants behind the film.
