Coffee Concert Rivers
Kensho Watanabe leads the Alabama Symphony Orchestra in Schumann’s Third Symphony — the “Rhenish” — inspired by the Rhine and capturing both the grandeur of the river landscape and the warmth of the communities along its banks. The program opens with Schubert’s Overture to Rosamunde, a graceful, melodically rich curtain-raiser that showcases Schubert at his most immediately appealing.
