Masterworks Series Cave to Palace
The Alabama Symphony Orchestra performs one of Beethoven’s most underappreciated symphonies — the Fourth, a work of wit, elegance, and surprising emotional depth that often gets overshadowed by its more famous neighbors. The program opens with Mendelssohn’s The Hebrides Overture, a vivid tonal portrait of the Scottish coastline and among the finest examples of musical landscape painting in the repertoire.
