Step into the soft romance of a languid afternoon, where the charm of Victorian landscapes meets the sweeping elegance of the Bridgerton era. In this gentle, beginner friendly class, you will explore foundational watercolor techniques—including washes, blending, layering, and simple detail work—while creating atmospheric mini landscapes. Guided by a palette reminiscent of 19thcentury artistry, you’ll craft a postcard or keepsake painting that evokes pastoral trails, sunlit fields, and graceful skies. Depart with your finished work and the confidence to continue your watercolor journey at home.
Heather Hyatt is an art educator and artist. She brings over two decades of classroom experience to her creative practice. Heather earned a Bachelor’s of Fine Art from Auburn University and Master of Education from Montevallo University. Deeply committed to arts education, she is passionate about helping students build confidence, find their artistic voice and experience the joy of creating. After teaching in multiple states, Heather currently lives in Birmingham, Alabama where she enjoys painting, cooking and searching for vintage kitsch.
