Alabama Symphony Orchestra Presents Tchaik 5K Virtual Race
The Alabama Symphony Orchestra is excited to announce the Tchaik 5k (pronounced “CHAI-k” and short for “Tchaikovsky”): the ASO’s first virtual 5k and a way to pair Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony with our new stay-at-home routine! All levels of participation are welcome. Complete the Tchaik 5K inside on your treadmill or outside in your neighborhood. Track your time and compete with others in their Strava Club, complete the race on your own time, or simply register and get a t-shirt. The choice is yours!
The ASO will provide a playlist of all 46:20 minutes and 4 movements of Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony. Participants can complete the virtual race anytime over the week of May 23-30 (when the ASO would have performed this work in the concert hall).
Participants will receive a race day t-shirt, a digital race bag, and a great feeling that you are supporting the ASO, all while taking good care of your health.
