This father/daughter duo will share their passion for Mexican art, highlighting folk art of the Oaxaca region and the powerful works of Frida Kahlo – inspired by her life, cultural heritage, and the indigenous traditions of Mexico. Participants can also make a Oaxacan-inspired craft facilitated by UAB Arts in Medicine Artist in Residence, Helene Taylor.

Este dueto de padre e hija compartirán su pasión para el arte mexicano, subrayando el arte folclórico de la región de Oaxaca y las obras impactantes de Frida Kahlo—inspiradas por su vida, su herencia cultural y las tradiciones indígenas de México. Los participantes también pueden hacer una artesanía al estilo oaxaqueño bajo la dirección de la Artista Residente del programa “Las Artes en la Medicina” de UAB, Helene Taylor.
