
ArtPlay Presents 3rd Annual "Powered by Girls" Conference
Join ArtPlay for our FREE Powered by Girls conference on Saturday, February 19 from 1-5 pm at the ArtPlay house! (Girls, Ages 11-14)
This conference will explore careers in the arts in honor of the upcoming Alys Stephens Center performance of the Syncopated Ladies dance group. The conference will have fun activities, amazing speakers, and self-esteem building opportunities. This event is open only to middle school girls and spaces are limited, so register now. Participants will receive a free t-shirt and goodie bag.
Guest speakers include UAB Arts in Medicine’s Kimberly Kirklin and Salaam Green,
independent artists Sydney Foster and Maya Johnson, and Morgan Smith, best known as the former “Wendy’s girl” for Wendy’s television commercials. They will discuss their careers in the arts and lead activities to promote the many career possibilities in the arts.
