First Person: Personal Narrative Writing Workshop for adults will cover the basics of creative non-fiction with a focus on memoir. Participants will learn how to turn their life experiences into captivating stories and we’ll cover how to get the narratives published.
Artist Bio:
Javacia Harris Bowser is an “award-winning journalist and author of Find Your Way Back: How to Write Your Way Through Anything. She is the founder of See Jane Write, a community for women writers in Birmingham. Named an Innovator Changing the South by Southern Living and recipient of the 2022 Alabama State Council on the Arts Fellowship for Prose, Javacia’s work has appeared in The Birmingham Times, Good Housekeeping, Shondaland.com, and ELLE. She enjoys Pilates, tacos, Beyoncé, and time with her husband, Edward.
