Chris Davis

Christopher Davis is a native of Birmingham Alabama and graduate of the Savannah College of Art & Design. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, he soon became an illustrator/designer with Southern Living Magazine for ten years. Always having a love of comedy, in 2000 he became a founding member in Torrential Downplay, Birmingham’s first improv comedy sketch troupe. Today, he hosts Fresh Ground Comics, a monthly showcase of local stand-up comedians. Christopher performs in two improv troupes, ETC (Extemporaneous Theatre Company) and Ugly Baby Improv. He can also be found hosting comedy shows, charity events, awards ceremonies, and starring in t.v. commercials and corporate videos. Christopher has been very fortunate to open for nationally touring comedians such as Janeane Garofalo, Al Madrigal, Michael Ian Black, Brian Posehn and Hannibal Buress. He’s excited to return to ArtPlay to educate students about the silly and fun world of comedy!
