The first time I ever saw David Sedaris live was the first time I attended performance at the Alys Stephens Center. I’m sure it hadn’t been open very long. I went with my friend Alesia not really knowing what to expect. I mean it’s one small man in a huge space! But despite that, the evening felt so intimate it was like he was reading only to us. We laughed until we quite literally cried and gasped for breath! Since then I’ve been to more events at the ASC than I can count — everything from The Alvin Ailey Dance Company to Buddy Guy to Code Switch to Yanni. My son has event performed in jazz camps there. The ASC has been a huge part of our lives for the last 25 years, and we look forward to many many more years of stunning performances and family memories.

In honor of the 25th anniversary season of the Alys Stephens Center, we are collecting stories of your ASC experience and your hope for the next 25 years of performing arts at the ASC.
